About City

Northern Germany's Hamburg, a city and Land (state), is situated on the Elbe River. It is the largest port and economic hub in the nation. Among Hamburg's many additional features are a system of canals like Amsterdam, lakes, parks, and lush neighbourhoods dotted with stately homes, fine retail arcades, richly endowed museums, and a bustling cultural scene. These are a some of the attractions that have helped the tourism sector expand. Hamburg has managed to preserve a feeling of old-world charm amid its booming economic life despite suffering severe devastation during World War II. The Lombardsbrücke, where the five churches can be seen rising high against a skyline that is still largely harmonious despite the presence of modern skyscrapers, offers one of the best views of the inner city.

Hamburg experiences frequent fog, late springtime, somewhat chilly summers, and mild winters. The average temperature in the winter is 34.2 °F (1.2 °C), and the average temperature in the summer is 62.4 °F (16.9 °C).
